On Wednesday the 15th November Bunnings staff from Coffs Harbour and Kempsey visited St Mary's to help get our garden beds ready for our 'Garden to Kitchen' program. Students will be growing produce to use in our school canteen.
Bunnings activities organisers Kristy & Luke brought 4 staff from both Coffs Harbour and Kempsey stores to work on our school garden's. They moved some of our existing garden beds, added soil and mulch ready for the plants Bunnings donated which included Passionfruit, Strawberries, Tomatoes, Beens, Herbs and Flowers.
Students helped plant the plants and will take care of them from now on. We look forward to seeing the new garden's grow and being able to use the produce in the school canteen.
